KIDS & YOUTH MINISTRY

Psalm 78:4

Raising a Generation Rooted in Christ‍ ‍

At New Life Evangelical Church, our children and youth are not the church of tomorrow. They are part of the church today. We want every child and young person to know they are loved by God, welcomed by His people, and invited to follow Jesus with their whole life. As a church that serves the Ethiopian and Eritrean community and the second generation, we know our kids and youth often live between languages and cultures. Our ministries help them honor their heritage, grow in God’s Word, and build a faith that is truly their own. “We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” — Psalm 78:4

New Life Kids

Sundays at 2:00 PM, during worship service New Life Kids is a safe, joyful place where children learn who God is and how much He loves them. Through Bible stories, worship, prayer, crafts, and games, kids discover the Gospel at a level they can understand and enjoy. Age-appropriate Bible lessons centered on Jesus Worship, memory verses, and prayer Caring volunteers who know your child by name

Sunday School

Our Sunday School helps children and young students go deeper into Scripture. Lessons walk through the big story of the Bible and the core truths of our faith, helping kids build a strong foundation they will carry for life.

Second Generation (2G)

Second Generation is our ministry for youth and young adults growing up between two worlds. In English-friendly gatherings, we open God’s Word, worship together, talk honestly about real life, and build friendships that point to Christ. Our goal is to help young people encounter Jesus personally, live out their faith with confidence, and grow into faithful disciples and leaders. “Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.” — 1 Timothy 4:12

Your Child’s Safety Matters

We take the care of every child seriously. Our children’s and youth ministry leaders are volunteers who serve under our church’s child protection policy and complete child abuse prevention and mandated reporter training. [We use a check-in and pick-up process so children are released only to a parent or authorized adult.]

If you have any questions about our safety practices, please reach out. We’re glad to talk with you.

For Parents

We believe parents are the primary disciple-makers of their children, and our role is to partner with you. We’ll share what your kids are learning so faith conversations can continue at home, at the dinner table, and throughout the week.

First time visiting? Arrive a few minutes early, and a volunteer will help you get your child settled and answer any questions.

Serve With Us

Love kids or teens? We’d love to have you on the team. Serving the next generation is one of the most meaningful ways to invest in God’s kingdom. All volunteers complete our screening and child safety training before serving.
